Sponsor a Flower is a local event aimed at lifting the spirits of people residing in nursing homes and other members of our community who may feel forgotten.
We are offering our gift wrapped, stemmed, large Wood Flowers in a variety of colors at a discount to facilitate placing as many as possible for this event.
The cost to sponsor a flower for a resident is $4.50 and we will do the rest, including hand delivering all the flowers on the day and time the venue requests us to come.
This year the promotion will be for "Random Acts of Kindness Week" - February 12-18 which also covers Valentine's Day if someone would like this to be given for that purpose.
Should we fall short of our goal of sponsoring all the residents - we will cover the difference and still provide a flower for every single resident in the assisted living wing. Should be exceed our goal we will first give flowers to the staff there, then any additional sponsorships will be carried forward to the next Sponsor A Flower event.
The photo shows a few of our flowers in gift packaging. They are approx. 12" long and the stem can be cut to fit any vase. The best part is they don't need water and will never die. They truly are everlasting flowers.
We are starting out this year with just one nursing home and may add more facilities as we are able.
This is just a small operation but we hope to be able to expand the program in the future.
If you have a suggestion for next year please let us know - and if you know of anyone who wants to give multiple or bulk sponsorships let us know that too as we may then be able to add in more recipients to this unique offering.
